Myself and Indi McCampbell were waiting for our food at a bar recently and had an interesting conversation with an older gentleman. He asked us where we were from, because “no one is really from Breckenridge”. He was right, most of us have come here from somewhere else. That is why clubs like ours are so special - clubs are a way for new people to meet others with similar interests, learn the area and make connections. This 2026 incoming class of new BCRC members have all been a pleasure to meet and run with. Some are here for a week, some a month, some in and out all summer. Many testing out if they like Breckenridge enough to live here down the line. But when I look back at last year, I met some fantastic new to the Breckenridge run community, that have now become regulars in our group.
Summer here is fleeting, but we still have some great months to get out and enjoy the trails sans-snow. Make sure you are getting to some runs, join us for a coffee or beer after a run, make it to the pancake breakfast run. Happy running friends!
Our club is the premier runner organization in Summit County CO for adult recreational runners. Its mission is to provide a sustainable year-round adult running community in Summit County. We welcome members of all abilities and paces. We have member only club runs, social activities and community inclusion.

The club brings together full-time/part-time residents from Breck, Frisco, Keystone, Dillon, Silverthorne etc. and visitors, for miles of enjoyment over scenic regional trails and road running. Trail running is spectacular, but we also have many members who train for road races and track events. Inspiring athletes of all adult ages and abilities and from all altitudes to just run. Lifetime fitness through running!
